Join the fun at Baker Creek for Beginning and Intermediate Throwing on the Potter's Wheel. This class is for students who are new to throwing on the potter's wheel or have only had a few previous classes. Ages 16 and up. Material fee for clay is $30 per bag. Class minimum 4/maximum 9.

Exploring Clay: Introduction to Handbuilt Ceramics with Deb McCunn at Whatcom Community College

Fridays 10/12 to 11/2, 9:30 am to noon

Nurture your creative spirit in this course designed for curious individuals and led by artist Deb McCunn. Drawing on objects that inspire you, you'll follow guided projects such as serving dishes from slabs, a vase or animal from pinching and coils, and more! Details HERE

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Withdrawals and refunds – If Baker Creek Ceramics cancels a class students will receive a full refund. Students who withdraw two weeks or more prior to the first day of class will receive a full refund less a $20.00 processing fee. Students who withdraw fewer than two weeks prior to a class will not receive a refund.

Missed Classes – There are no discounts or refunds for missed classes.

Class Cancellation – All classes not meeting the minimum enrollment of 4 students one week prior to the start date may be cancelled. Baker Creek Ceramics will contact students in affected class and offer refunds or placement in an additional class.

Disruptive Behavior - Baker Creek has the right to remove a student from a class if the student's behavior is offensive or disruptive to the class. 

Enrolled Students Only - Class instruction is for students enrolled in the class ONLY, no guests or children please.

Private instruction and tutorials are available, $75 per hour
Practice and improve specific areas and techniques through our private tutorial program. Work on wheel techniques, sculpting skills or surface resolutions during your private one-on-one session. Tutorials are one hour minimum and are scheduled afternoons or evenings depending on individual needs. Sessions must be paid for in advance. No cancellation refunds less than 3 days prior to scheduled session.

Join the fun at Baker Creek for this introduction to Throwing on the Potter's Wheel. This class is for absolute beginners, ages 16 and up. Class minimum 4/maximum 9.

Storytelling through Sculpture with Debra Sloan, Saturday, 10/20, 10-4

Join Canadian sculptor, Debra Sloan, for this one day sculpting workshop at Baker Creek Ceramics. All clay, slips and washes are included in the registration fee. Basic sculpting skills are recommended, ages 16 and up. Class minimum 4/maximum 10.

MONSTER MASH Workshop - 9/29 and 10/6, only $75!

Join Baker Creek Ceramics and Social Fabric for this collaborative mixed media workshop! We'll meet at Baker Creek on 9/29 from 10 am to 1 pm to make heads, hands and feet. We'll fire your work and meet you at Social Fabric 10/6 to sew bodies on your monsters! Your final work will be on display at Social Fabric for Halloween! Details HERE

Clay Club - Independent Clay Projects, 4 Tuesdays per month, 9 am to noon

If you've completed at least TWO CLASSES at Baker Creek Ceramics and just need time to practice or use our equipment to complete your project, you can join Clay Club . There is no instruction, so you must already know how to use our equipment and understand our slips, washes, glazes and procedures. You must register SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE FIRST SESSION TO JOIN. Clay is $30 per bag and covers the cost of slips, washes, glazes and firings.  If you've had classes at another ceramic studio, email or call 360-393-5458 to request an exception.
